Homemade guns found in vehicle stop: police

POLICE have charged two people after a vehicle stop in Girrawheen led to the alleged discovery of two loaded homemade guns.

About 10.40pm last night, police stopped a Holden Commodore with three people inside on Mereworth Way.

Police allege that during a search of the car they uncovered two loaded homemade guns, two knuckle dusters, a small amount of heroin, ammunition and drug paraphernalia.
