Inspection stations open

The State Government has expanded the network of authorised inspection stations through a partnership with Kmart Tyre and Auto Service and Coles Express.

Transport Minister Dean Nalder said Kmart staff had been trained to provide light vehicle examinations in Clarkson, Wanneroo, Midland and Baldivis.

“I am pleased to see a further 26 inspection station partners will be working with the department’s vehicle examination centres, which will not only provide easy-to-access frontline services but will provide more choice and convenience to customers,” he said.

The department has used external examiners since the early 1990s and existing stations operate in Joondalup, Mindarie, Wangara and Yanchep.

“Kmart Tyre and Auto Service is pleased to be partnering with the Western Australian government providing vehicle examinations for customers,” Kmart Tyre divisional manager Sandy Cikara said.
