Inspector wants to see a good Day Out

Inspector Steve Post was speaking from his experience with the Future Music Festival last year, where some revellers were too intoxicated to make it through the gates.

However, he was not expecting similar behaviour this weekend as the Big Day Out attracted a different demographic.

Organisers had told police to expect about 18,000 people, well down on the 35,000 punters who attended the gig at Claremont Showground last year.
