There will also be giant Snakes and Ladders, dominos and chess at the free events.

Clarkson Library will host its games from 11am to 3pm, and Girrawheen Library will run games from 10am to noon.

Joondalup Library will also host a weekend of free LEGO fun to mark International Games Day, with families able to participate on November 21 from 9.30am to 4pm and November 22 from 1pm to 5pm.

There will be other board games available, which people can be borrowed from the library every day as well.

The games day initiative started in 2007, and expanded, with events held in more than 50 countries across all seven continents.
