JOONDALUP City councillors approved an application for a single-storey showroom with mezzanine level on Sundew Rise in Joondalup at last month's meeting.
The development was proposed to include five golf nets and a miniature putting green to be used on a ‘try-before-you-buy’ basis.
It would have 28 on-site car bays ” two less than required under the City’s scheme amendment 65 ” and be located on the corner of Sundew Rise and Honeybush Drive.
It also proposed to have 7.25 per cent of landscaping instead of the 8 per cent minimum required and a 1.5m and 2.6m wide landscaping strip to the street instead of the minimum 3m strip required.
A council document said the overall design was appropriate and parking on-site would be sufficient when the car park was integrated with the site to the west.
It said the proposed landscaping was also sufficient and there would be a condition to have at least 12 shade trees in the carpark.
