JOONDALUP resident Corey Gallagher recently spent a week onboard the STS Leeuwin II.
The 14-year-old said he wanted to go on the Leeuwin Ocean Adventure voyage to learn how to sail.
“The whole voyage was amazing,” he said.
“I most enjoyed climbing the mast, learning how to sail and I can’t forget the food.”

Corey was one of two youths sponsored by Perth Legacy to be part of the experience.
The voyages aim to challenge and inspire young people to realise their potential and make a positive contribution to the wider community.
