Kingsley: man robbed at gunpoint, police looking for offender

A MAN, thought to be carrying a gun, robbed a male victim, who was walking from Greenwood train station with a friend after a recent night out.

Sergeant Tom Cogan said the victim had caught the train from Perth to Greenwood in the early hours of Sunday, May 15.

He was walking with a male friend along Barridale Drive in Kingsley when the offender approached the pair.

“He produced what looked like a gun and made demands of money,” Sgt Cogan said.

It was uncertain whether the gun was real or a replica.

Sgt Cogan said the victim’s friend slapped the man’s hand holding the gun and ran away.

The victim remained, giving the robber his phone and wallet.

The offender was described as fair-skinned, aged between 27 and 34 and about 170cm tall with a slim build. He was wearing black tracksuit pants and a black jumper.
