Diagnosed with CF at 10 weeks old, Reece rallied the school community to support a Red Hair Day, raising about $1000 for the charity.

He spent three days before the May 28 event motivating fellow pupils and on the day visited all classes to talk about living with CF.

‘Students and teachers alike got involved by wearing red hair, accessories or a red item of clothing,’ college PR officer Joanne Kolb said.

‘Reece’s mum and grandmother came along on the day to support him.’

Ms Kolb said Reece remained a very level-headed, enthusiastic and friendly student despite difficult medical challenges along the way.
