Joondalup-based Knit and Natter and Wanneroo’s Klickety Klacks knit for the Miracle Babies Foundation, which supports families through tough times.

Knitters make memory teddies for families who have lost a baby, and booties, beanies, cardigans and blankets for premature and sick newborns.

Local foundation members showed their appreciation during afternoon tea at Knit and Natter’s ECU Joondalup meeting place recently.

‘The children handed out little packs of thank you love heart chocolates to the ladies,’ foundation member Amy O’Connor said.

Knit and Natter founder Eleanor Rigby said the group also knitted for aged care homes, the many homeless, disadvantaged and children with disabilities. ‘It’s a very therapeutic group providing a space for community members to come together socially to share, teach, learn new skills and develop friendships,’ she said.
