SOMEONE is $1 million richer after buying a ticket in last night’s Monday Lotto draw from Koondoola Plaza Newsagency.

Before that, it had been nine years since the store had sold one.

“My goal was to have a big winner in the first year but this is still a pretty good result,” he said.

“Many customers have said I’ve brought luck to the store. Let’s hope this is the start of many more wins to come.”

Mr Xu said news of the win had spread, with lots of excited customers checking their tickets to see if they were holding the million dollar ticket.

“It’s an incredible feeling to know we’ve made someone $1 million richer,” he said.

“I’d just like to congratulate them and wish them all the very best.

Lotterywest is still waiting to hear from last night’s winner.
