Lend Lease project manager Frank Smith said the dry weather had allowed workers to make good progress on the $300 million project.

‘Good progress being made on the multi-deck car park ” it is up to level two and excavation for the loading dock is almost complete and work has started on the goods lift structures,’ she said. ‘Lift shafts in the multi-deck car park have already topped out.’

– Lakeside’s expansion, which will take it to almost 100,000sqm of retail space, will make it the largest shopping centre in WA.

The expansion includes the addition of a Myer department store, a five-storey car park and specialty stores. Work is expected to be completed by the end of 2014.
