Learn more about possible utility privatisation at Carramar meeting

POLITICIANS will join Western Power employees for a meeting in Carramar to discuss the potential privatisation of the state-owned utility.

The public event is part of the Use Your Power campaign, run by the Australian Services Union and Electrical Trades Union WA branches.

The panel will comprise Western Power employees, People’s Inquiry into Privatisation member Yvonne Henderson, Wanneroo MLA Paul Miles, WA Labor’s energy spokesman Bill Johnston and Labor candidate for Wanneroo Sabine Winton.

The meeting will be at Carramar Community Centre on October 9, with a sausage sizzle from 1.30pm.
