CHOOSING the name Annabelle for a baby alpaca earned a 10-year-old boy an upgrade to his wheels recently.

Leeam Pitana won the ‘name the baby alpaca’ competition at this year’s Wanneroo Show and received a $200 gift voucher from Henry’s Bike Shop in Wanneroo.

“Annabelle for the baby alpaca’s name was a great choice and I am very happy with the high level of interest that this competition generated,” Wanneroo MLA Paul Miles said.

Leeam said he would spend the money on upgrading his current bike.

“I am going to have prickle-proof tyres and tubes put on as well as new grips for my handle bars, just to start with,” Leeam said.

Bike shop owner Henry de Jaeger said he would include a free service and a speedometer.
