Tyler BrownWanneroo Times

She is one of two models from WA to join the contest of 24 national finalists on the Gold Coast from October 19 to 25.

The 24-year-old has been modelling most of her life with her mother entering her into her first competition when she was four years old.

This will be the second time Ms Wyse heads over east for a national final after she recently returned from Miss Football Fever in Melbourne where she finished fourth and won Miss Social Media for the event.

“Finishing up the top was pretty awesome and it has given me more confidence going in to Miss V8 Supercars,” she said.

“I don’t think anyone from WA has ever placed (at Miss V8 Supercars) but I have put a lot of effort in so I hope to be up there.”

Ms Wyse said her theme-wear and swimwear were being custom-made and other preparations included eating healthy and keeping up her fitness by playing touch rugby and netball.

“I like to spend my weekends camping, wakeboarding, waterskiing and tree lopping with my dad,” she said. “When people found out I was entering Miss V8 Supercars they said, ‘This is your kind of competition, this is one for you’.”

Winners will be crowned on October 24.
