Mayor Tracey Roberts said nothing reflected Australian summer like a trip to the outdoor cinema.

“Live in the Amphitheatre is a key part of the City’s summer season, and with last year’s season such an outstanding success, we hope residents once again embrace the opportunity to get involved,” she said.

Families can pack a picnic or buy food and drink at the venue. Gates open from 6pm with screenings starting at about 7.30pm.

The first film will be National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation on Wednesday, December 12, Rise of the Guardians on December 14, How the Grinch Stole Christmas on December 15, The Holiday on December 19, Elf on December 21 and Santa Clause 3 on December 22.

Tickets for the first round of December screenings will be available exclusively to City of Wanneroo residents from 9am on Monday, November 26.

If not sold out, remaining tickets will be open to the general public from 9am on Friday, November 30.

The Jacaranda Amphitheatre is located at 23 Dundebar Road, behind the Wanneroo Civic Centre.
