Local childcare centre celebrates 23 years

The not-for-profit organisation, run by a parent committee, operates from Whitford Family Centre and Bambara Primary School in Padbury.

Centre co-ordinator Chris Ingram said the staff were beginning to see the next generation of children filtering through.

‘Some of those who attended HOOSC in its early years are starting to send their own kids here,’ she said.

‘I think we’ve been successful because of three main things ” experienced, enthusiastic staff and caring staff, plenty of fun activities and programs and we’ve kept our rates at a reasonable level.’
