The Joy Evelation will open The Charles Hotel gig as winners of the She Who Rocks national competition where fans had six weeks to vote for the bands to perform as the support act each night of the tour.

"We were very happy to come out on top as it is a great promotion and very exciting to support such iconic acts," vocalist and guitarist Mia Joy said.

"To win this kind of gig is great as it is high profile and shows you have a big fan base and following to come through as the winner."
