Already operating from Butler, Mrs Jones mixes salsa, meringue, cha-cha, Latin pop, disco and Bollywood for a low intensity full-body workout.
She will run a free trial in Currambine at 9.30am on Tuesday and then host classes each Tuesday for interested participants.
‘There’s no jumping, it’s all smooth transitions and it’s great for me because I have a dodgy knee, a dodgy back and tennis elbow but it’s absolutely fine for me to do,’ Mrs Jones said.
‘I originally set the class up for people over 50 but I opened it up to adults of all ages and I’m starting to get a few younger ladies.
‘I’ve had teenagers do it and then my eldest participant was 91 but I must say she was a freak of nature, she was unbelievable.’
She there were psychological and physical benefits to the workout and the class brought people together.
‘It’s a real community type thing. I call it exercise in disguise because it is. I just say leave your worries at the door, forget everything for an hour and have a bit of fun.’
