An initiative of Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts and local churches, the event held in Margaret Cockman Pavilion at Wanneroo Showground was for people who were on their own on Christmas Day or unable to afford a special meal.
Mrs Roberts said the lunch was “a great success” and thanked volunteers involved including the Trandos and Canzirri market gardening families, who donated fresh produce for families to take home, and the Knit and Natter group that donated clothing.
