MAIN Roads has changed the date for a full weekend closure at the Wanneroo Road-Joondalup Drive intersection.
“Unanticipated construction delays” have pushed the closure back from June 7 to 10 to June 21 to 24 as part of the interchange project.
A Main Roads newsletter said the date was deferred to ensure safety and quality requirements were met on construction.

READ NOWIt said the intersection would close for the weekend, from 8pm Friday, June 21 to 5am on Monday, June 24 to allow work crews to safely relocate barriers and replace the traffic signals with a temporary roundabout for the second stage works.
The second stage of works will commence following the reopening of the intersection on Monday, June 24, with vehicles pushed to the outside of Joondalup Drive while works are done in the middle of the road.
It will focus on building the bridge, ramps and associated works at the intersection.
Right turn access between Joondalup Drive and St Stephens Crescent will close permanently, as will right turn access at Drovers Place.
There will still be left-turn access to the Drovers business precinct and Drovers Place from Wanneroo Road and Joondalup Drive respectively.
The weekend closure will affect bus routes and there will be minor changes to cyclist and pedestrian detours in the area.
Vehicles travelling north on Wanneroo Road will still be able to turn left into Joondalup Drive.
