Man charged with multiple offences after crash closed Alexander Drive

A 25-year-old man from East Victoria Park has been charged with multiple drug offences after a crash closed Alexander Drive on Tuesday morning.

About 9.10am yesterday, police vehicle attempted to stop a Volkswagen Passat Station Wagon on Butterworth Avenue Koondoola.

It is alleged the driver failed to stop and drove at speed through various streets in Mirrabooka before continuing southbound on Alexander Drive.

At the intersection of Reid Highway, the Volkswagen collided with a Lexus sedan causing damage to both vehicles.

There were no injuries as a result of the crash.

The man was charged with 14 offences including with driving with a suspended licence, stealing a motor vehicle, acts likely to endanger life, health or safety of any person.

He was also charged with possession of meth, cannabis and GHB.

He will appear at the Perth Magistrates Court today.
