Man charged over alleged Girrawheen assault

A MAN allegedly broke into a Girrawheen property and seriously injured a man in what police have described as an unprovoked assault in the middle of the afternoon.

Investigators have accused the 42-year-old man of attending a 62-year-old man’s home and ripping the flyscreen from the front door about 3pm on Saturday, June 17.

The man allegedly attacked the occupant causing a punctured lung and broken ribs.

Police did not believe the men knew each other.
