Man lacerated in broken beer bottle attack

Clarkson Detectives Senior Sergeant Gary Saunders said the incident occurred about 10am on July 27 at a house in Cook Avenue.

‘The offender and the victim were known to each other,’ Sgt Saunders said.

‘The offender smashed a beer bottle and swung it at the victim, causing lacerations to his hands as he tried to defend his face.’ The victim fled and drove to the hospital.

Sgt Saunders said the suspect got into another car and chased him, crashed into the other car and thew a brick through the window.

‘We arrested and charged a 25-year-old male from South Perth with unlawful wounding, criminal damage and acts causing bodily harm,’ the detective said.
