Man on robbery, assault charges

Police this month charged the Broome man with a range of offences over the July 3 incident.

Investigators allege the 33-year-old man entered a Grandis Boulevard property armed with a knife and demanded money from an occupant, who was known to him.

He is accused of punching the victim in the face and stabbing the knife into a door in a threatening manner.

He allegedly stole computer equipment, jewellery, perfume, mobile phones and cash. The victim was treated at Joondalup Health Campus for a serious eye injury.

Broome police charged the accused on August 19 with aggravated burglary, aggravated armed robbery, stealing and assault occasioning bodily harm.

He is due to appear in Broome Magistrates Court on September 4.
