ITALIAN retirees are enjoying the flavours of their mother country following the installation of a pizza oven.
Residents at Italian Aged Care in Marangaroo celebrated by eating the first pizzas cooked in the oven at an event recently.

READ NOWMany residents were born in or are linked to Italy and enjoyed tasting more than 50 pizzas made by chef Giovanni Paolucci at the February event.
Chief executive Chris Roberts helped make the pizzas and said the significance of the wood-fired pizza oven could not be overstated from a cultural viewpoint for the residents and families.
Mr Roberts said the food produced also had universal appeal.
