Students, staff and parents celebrated 80 years of St Anthony’s

Laura PondWanneroo Times

The school held a mass on September 4, concelebrated by St Anthony Catholic Church priests Fr John Daly, Fra Chris Ross, Fr Vinh Dong and former student Fra Giles Atherton.

Guests included the Sisters of Mercy nuns, Servite priests and nuns, politicians and members of the school’s 1935 classes. Year 4 student Dante Sinagra presented a photo display with his great-uncle Joe Sinagra, who was a student in the school’s founding year.

School board members and parent volunteers Ruth Barker and Rachel Sinagra spent several months gathering historical photos and memorabilia for displays, which guests browsed after the mass.
