STUDENTS from an Edgewater school are stepping back into the 1950s as they prepare to present Grease this month.

Mater Dei College has collaborated with Limelight Theatre to hold the iconic musical in Wanneroo.

The cast features 38 year 7 to 12 students and four staff members, who have been rehearsing since October.

Drama teacher and director Maree Graydon said she was proud of the commitment students had shown to the production.

“Every day you hear students singing the songs from the production around campus. They are so excited, they can barely sleep,” she said.

Performances are on June 22, 23, 24, 26 and 27.
