WEST Australians are being asked to be alert to the risk of measles following a confirmed measles illness in a person who travelled on a domestic flight from Melbourne to Perth last week.
The infected person also visited the Skakthidham Hindu Temple in Wangara.
This is the sixth case of measles in Perth this year.

Individuals should remain vigilant for the onset of measles symptoms for the next three weeks if they are not immune to measles and were present at any of the following:
Thursday 7 February:
Virgin Australia Flight VA691 from Melbourne to Perth, arriving in Perth 6:50pm;
Perth Airport Terminal 1 arrival hall and baggage collection area, 6:50pm – 7:50pm
Friday 8 February to Sunday 10 February:
Skakthidham Hindu Temple, 58 Luisini Road, Wangara
There is no current risk of acquiring measles from visiting one of these venues as the potential exposure to measles occurred only on the dates and times specified.
