The Sorrento school received $1500 worth of knives and cookware last Wednesday for their series of winning recipes based around 2013 trend-setting flavour combinations.
Their sweet onion and rosemary tart with roasted tomatoes and chilli pesto, chicken katsu pizza, lamb shank and plantain curry with pilaf, and charred orange meringue pie with sticky rum sauce were viewed by the judges as ‘outstanding’.
‘I am immensely proud of our students for their fabulous effort,’ College teacher Elizabeth Williams said.
