MERCY College student Nelson Tshongo said spending a week onboard the STS Leeuwin II was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The 17-year-old won the Fremantle to Monkey Mia voyage following the Halogen Australia IMAGINATION youth leadership event.

“Going on a voyage with the Leeuwin Ocean Adventure was a great experience upon which I have been able to build my leadership skills,” he said.

“I count myself very lucky to have had such an experience upon which I’ve been able to implement on my daily life and to my college.”
