Metro North-West DAP to consider $2.1m child care centre plans for Wanneroo

Lucy JarvisWanneroo Times

PLANS for a $2.1 million child care centre in Wanneroo will be tabled at a Metro North-West Development Assessment Panel meeting on Monday.

A report by the City of Wanneroo on the February 11 agenda recommends the panel grant conditional approval for the development on the corner of San Rosa and Wanneroo roads.

Planning Solutions submitted the plans on behalf of owners Silver Chain Group and Bruce and Victoria Matthews to build a Green Leaves Early Learning centre on the site, which currently contains three houses.

One of the proposed conditions would restrict the number of people on site at any one time to 83 children and 14 staff. Another would restrict operating hours to 6.30am to 7pm on weekdays.

The City’s report said it received four submissions during public consultation, all objecting.

The panel will also consider plans for 12 units in Ruthven Place, Duncraig at the meeting at the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage offices in Perth from 9.30am on February 11.
