At last month’s Joondalup council meeting, amendments to modify the R30 and R40 residential density code boundaries in the southern portion of the structure plan and recoding of a section of land on the eastern side from R25 to R40 were unanimously approved.
This could increase the amount of possible dwellings by a maximum of four, however it will not change the sites next to residences on Arawa Place to minimise the effect on existing properties.
A council document said the proposed amendments were minor and should not affect any surrounding landowners or the locality so public advertising was not considered necessary.
