Mitchell Fwy northbound to be closed for night works this week

THE Mitchell Freeway northbound is closed for night works this week after bad weather delayed construction over the weekend.

Main Roads WA has advised road closures will be in place from 8pm until 4am nightly until Thursday so the Burns Beach Road pedestrian footbridge can be installed as part of the freeway extension project.

There will be no access on the freeway northbound from Shenton Avenue and on Burns Beach Road heading west between the on-ramp and Sunlander Drive and eastbound Connolly Drive and the on-ramp.

Westbound traffic can use the freeway heading south and Sunlander Drive will remain open for local traffic.
