Jacob said he loved AFL and athletics because they pushed him to his limits.
‘They involve lots of running and they’re both very challenging and you have to train a lot for them,’ he said.
He is the captain of Kingsway Little Athletics Centre and the Woodvale Little Athletics Club and is a West Perth football club development squad selectee.
Jacob’s grandfather said the modest 14-year-old was an inspiration to his friends and family, including his brother who has autism.
