Northern suburbs group Rush Hour Big Band is looking for new members.

Formed about four years ago, the band’s 14 members aged from 20 to their 60s have a 1000-song repertoire from different genres.

‘We seek several more players to fill out the sections,’ manager Chris Martin said. ‘Trombone, trumpet and saxophone players are welcome to apply.’

Mr Martin said the band was a great chance for talented musicians to develop their skills in a fun environment.

‘Many people leave school and leave their musical instruments in a case gathering dust,’ he said. ‘I always get a big satisfaction in seeing people improve their skills and become confident enough to perform in public.’

The band rehearses and performs at a Wangara music studio. Call Chris on 0451 458 533 or 9440 5524.
