The institute was host to the Discovering Automotive Open Day and WorldSkills Competition on August 9 and 10, with guest speaker and world record-holder Rosco McGlashan.
The two-day event gave more than 600 students and 1000 visitors the opportunity to see all that the industry has to offer. ‘Most people think careers in the automotive industry are restricted to mechanics,’ Motor Trade Association of WA chief executive Stephen Moir said.
‘The event exhibited all areas from panelling, vehicle painting, auto electrical and heavy diesel mechanics.’
‘The institute is the best in the country’
