A MOTHER accused of murdering her two young daughters in their Perth home has been discharged from hospital but remains locked up.

The bodies of Mia Djurasovic, 10, and six-year-old Tiana were found by their father Nenad at their Madeley home on Friday evening.

Milka Djurasovic was later found near a Mullaloo beach car park with non-life-threatening, self-inflicted wounds.

The 38-year-old appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Monday via audio link from her hospital bed charged with two counts of murder.

She was remanded in custody to face Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on November 27.

Flowers and teddy bears have been left outside the home of the family, who are geographically from Bosnia but identify as Serbian.

St Sava Serbian Orthodox Church protopresbyter Sasa Stojanovic told AAP he knew the whole family and had been in contact with them since the tragedy.

Talent Co. Dance and Entertainment dance school described one of the girls as a “popular, kind and beautiful student”.

“Her last class with us was memorable as she had the whole class in stitches with her hilarious story, a wonderful lasting memory for her classmates,” the dance school posted on Facebook.

Child Protection Minister Simone McGurk said the family had not had any dealings with the department.

Premier Mark McGowan said counselling was available to the girls’ Ashdale Primary School classmates.

The deaths add to three other significant family tragedies in WA in the past 18 months.
