Though National Youth Week runs from April 8 to 17, the classes will run at ATI Martial Arts Joondalup on Mondays to Saturdays for both weeks of the school holidays.
Director Rocco Capolingua said the community workshops would focus on stranger danger, anti-abduction skills and personal safety and awareness, specifically for children aged three to 12 years.
“I want to make a difference to young kids and open their minds to the world out there and prepare kids for action if necessary,” he said.
Classes will be organised according to age groups and will run from 3.30pm to 6pm.
Parents are encouraged to attend and help.
