Naval cadets keen to serve community

TS (Training Ship) Marmion unit support volunteer Emma McIndoe said being involved in Anzac Day allowed the 42 cadets aged 12 to 18 years to give back to the community, with most involved in two or more ceremonies.

"We put a board up with all the different ceremonies and marches, including a school and retirement home, on it and the kids just fill it up with their names," she said.

Cadets will attend the Dryandra and Ocean Reef primary schools' services, the Nollamara and North Beach RSLs' services, the Wanneroo and Yanchep marches, the Perth city parade and the St Ives Retirement Village event.
