Its part of the cycle, with some guys retiring, others looking for opportunities at other clubs and some not quite living out their AFL dream.
Over the past few years, West Coast has gone through a bit of a transition and along with a few other senior players, I have watched the young draftees come into the club and been impressed.
That next generation has invigorated the group and you might have heard the coaches and senior players talking about the excitement around the club this year.
Guys like Fraser McInnes and Jeremy McGovern have been around for a few years now but have been important for us.
Gov started on the rookie list but was elevated to the senior list last year and is quickly becoming a fan favourite.
His performances this year have been really important, particularly with Eric Mackenzie and Mitch Brown suffering long-term knee injuries.
Then there are others like Liam Duggan, Elliot Yeo, Dom Sheed, Jackson Nelson and Tom Lamb who have come to the club in the past two years.
Yeo came to us from Brisbane and has shown in the past couple of weeks when playing through the midfield that he could be an important player for a long time.
Duggo, Jacko and Lamby have come in through the draft last year and could not have been more impressive.
We really believe we are building towards something special and hopefully the fans will see more of them in the rest of this year.
