Work on the $3.5 million Koondoola Community Centre and $2.7 million Kingsway baseball and softball club rooms started in January.

Mayor Tracey Roberts said the community centre was a ‘much needed addition to the Koondoola area’ for community groups and local sporting teams. The facility will include a terrace, canteen, main hall, secondary hall, kitchen facilities, office, meeting room, court yard, toilets, change rooms, store rooms and landscaping.

The Kingsway baseball and softball club rooms will include a hall, kitchen and canteen facilities, terrace, court yard, change rooms, toilets and store rooms.

‘The new clubrooms at Kingsway Regional Sporting Complex are part of the next stage of sporting and clubroom upgrades to make the complex one of WA’s premier sporting precincts,’ Mrs Roberts said.

Both projects are expected to be completed by December.
