Joondalup Mayor Troy Pickard welcomed the Main Roads WA decision, saying Oceanside Promenade was a high pedestrian area because it was close to Tom Simpson Park and the Mullaloo Beach precinct.
‘A reduction in the speed limit will make this section of Oceanside Promenade safer for pedestrians and cyclists, while having minimal impact on motorists,’ he said.
