$12m townhouse plan for Tapping

PLANS for a $11.76 million townhouse development in Tapping with 84 units are out for public consultation.

The City of Wanneroo has invited comments until May 6 on Nicheliving’s application for infill development at 20 Clarkson Avenue.

The proposal, which may be developed in three stages, would include 70 double-storey townhouses and 14 single-storey units with two to four bedrooms.

The application said the proposal would improve housing affordability and diversity in the area and enhance age-in-place opportunities.

It said it could aslo help the City meet residential density targets set out in Directions 2031 and Beyond and the associated North West Metropolitan Sub-Regional Planning Framework.

The plans for the 1.94ha site owned by Freshlink Export Pty Ltd also include a temporary sales office and private road network.

Following consultation, the City will prepare a report on the application for the Metro North-West Development Assessment Panel to consider.
