NIGHT works and a traffic switch are planned next week as part of the Wanneroo Road-Ocean Reef Road interchange project.

Main Roads has advised traffic will move to a different alignment on Ocean Reef Road west of Wanneroo Road, adjacent to the existing route.

To enable this traffic switch, there will be night works and lane closures from 7pm on Monday, December 9 to 5am on December 10 to install temporary barriers and line marking.

Traffic reduced to a single lane in both directions.

Traffic will switch to a new alignment of Ocean Reef Road on Tuesday.

The traffic switch will take effect from 5am on Tuesday, with motorists using new lanes south of the existing lanes

The new alignment will enable work to lower the level of Ocean Reef Road in preparation for the construction of the $65 million flyover.

The switch follows a recent night closure to divert traffic through the temporary roundabout.
