THE Metropolitan Road Improvement Alliance is planning night works over the next week as part of the Wanneroo Road widening project.
It is planning to do asphalting, barrier relocations and line marking at night from February 9 to 14 to support the next stage of works.
The contractor said the night works would avoid major disruption of high volume daytime traffic and associated risks for the workforce.
Asphalting works are scheduled for the stretch between Quarry Access Road to Flynn Drive on Saturday between 7pm and 5am.
The contractor plans to do barrier relocation and line marking works on Wanneroo Road north of Carramar Road on Monday and on Flynn Drive at the Wanneroo Road intersection on Tuesday.
It plans to remove barriers on Wanneroo Road, Balladong Loop and Monaltrie Loop on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
According to the latest project update, the contractor has prepared an out-of-hours noise management plan to minimise disturbance to residents, which the City of Wanneroo has approved.
Motorists were asked to proceed with caution at all times, keep to the speed limit and follow directional signage throughout the area.
Construction of the 3.2km dual carriageway was expected to finish in early 2019.
