Northern suburbs residents injured in fatal crash in WA’s Mid-West

TWO women died and a Landsdale man was taken to hospital with critical injuries in a crash in the Mid-West yesterday.

Major Crash Detectives are investigating the fatal crash on the Brand Highway in Bookara, which occurred about 2.50pm on August 2.

WA Police spokesman Adam Brouwer said a silver Toyota Camry sedan travelling north crossed into the southbound lane and collided head on with a white Toyota LandCruiser that was towing a trailer.

“The driver of the Camry, a 53-year-old man from Landsdale, was conveyed to the Geraldton Hospital in a critical condition,” he said.

“The two female passengers from the Camry, aged 54 and 59, died at the scene.

“The driver of the LandCruiser, a 42-year-old man from Carine, was also conveyed to the Geraldton Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”
