NORTHERN suburbs students spent a morning kicking footballs at the Dockers Cup girls competition in Padbury recently.

Merriwa Primary School principal Sue Waterhouse said her Year 5 and 6 students joined their peers for the lightning carnival at MacDonald Reserve, which was supported by the WAFL clubs of Subiaco, West Perth and Claremont.

“The modified rules allow for maximum participation, enjoyment and skill development for girls,” she said.

Quinns Rocks, Alkimos, Springfield, South Padbury, Carramar and Whitfords Catholic primary schools also took part in the event on June 14.
