A JOONDALUP church will host its second event offering services to people who are struggling, homeless or at risk of homelessness this month.

Northreach Community Church will hold the Community Connect Day on Saturday, June 18 at its Winton Road premises.

Church elder Jan Gilbert said there would be a range of free services available in one place at the same time.

“This is an event where the local community and volunteers come together alongside local government and community services to reach out and provide assistance to those people in the community who are struggling, homeless or at risk of homelessness,” she said.

“We are busy collecting necessary items and like to encourage the community, including local businesses of Joondalup and Wanneroo, to become involved and donate items toward this annual event.”

Services they plan to offer include accommodation referral, haircuts, food, clothing, showers and medical care.
