Only the best for new ducklings

Last week nine little eggs hatched at Barrier Reef Pools Northside Display Centre and out came fluffy ducklings.

A wildlife ranger told owners, and confessed animal lovers, Steve and Laura Patterson that the family of ducks would soon be gone.

‘Apparently ducks don’t nest where they live,’ Mrs Patterson said. ‘But she keeps trying to take them up Wangara Road, which is always busy.’
