WINTER flowering orchids will be on show in Darch from July 29 to 31.

The Cymbidium Orchid Club of WA will host the annual show at Ezi-Gro Orchids, with this year’s event themed rain, hail or shine.

There will be a large showing of the best show bench cymbidiums flowering in winter, as well as potting demonstrations and information talks.

Subjects will cover how to flower stubborn cymbidium plants, the best potting mix and fertilisers, and new novelty styles in the cymbidium colours with spots, blotches and bars.

The Cymbidium Orchid Winter Show will run from 9am to 5pm on July 29 and 30 and from 9am to 4pm on July 31.

Cost is $5 or $2 for seniors and concession cardholders, which includes coffee or tea.

There will also be a daily plant raffle, plant and fertiliser sales and you can get your cymbidium plant re-potted for a small fee.
